HCMUK are proud to announce the launch of a new sponsorship for 2023

HCMUK are thrilled to announce our newest sponsorship of 2023 with Sam Menzies, a professional boxer local to our HQ in Hebburn, representing our area on a national stage.

Sam is a 26-year-old professional bantamweight boxer from South Shields and has boxed since the age of 11, when he started out as an amateur for Horsley Hill ABC.

Sam has gone unbeaten in all 8 of his professional fights over the past 5 years. He has high aspirations and has his sights set on fighting for a title later this year.

Sam’s most recent win was on July 14th at Rainton Meadows Arena where he dominated his opponent and won every round of the fight.

Being a professional boxer is a huge commitment and to compete with the top athletes in Sam’s weight division, he recently took the leap to leave his day job at Siemens Energy and train full time as a boxer. Sam trains 2 to 3 times a day and leads an extremely dedicated lifestyle. Sam truly believes he will reap the rewards of his hard work and can go on to compete at British and World level.

As part of Sam’s strict training regime, he has a professional sports nutritionist on board for fight camps, to take care of all his dietary needs. This is important to allow Sam to make fight weight safely and keep fueled for all his grueling training sessions throughout fight camp.

HCMUK have taken the opportunity to sponsor this specific aspect of Sam’s training in line with our focus on Health & Wellbeing.

Sam represents the local area of South Tyneside and hopes to do the borough proud in the coming years as he aims to reach the top of the sport.
