Health, Safety and Wellbeing Week at Hitachi Construction Machinery UK

Wednesday, January 15, 2025

Health, Safety and Wellbeing is a top priority here at Hitachi Construction Machinery UK. It is not a temporary or part time function, it forms the foundation to all our core values and is embedded within our company culture.

From the 6th to the 10th of January, we held our annual Health, Safety and Wellbeing week which included a wide range of activities for our employees, as well as schools in the local community.

Some of the activities consisted of a Driver Risk Assessment for those who drive a company vehicle, a Health and Safety music quiz, NEBOSH Managing Risks and Risk Assessment at work training and a children’s poster competition to name some.

The main event of the week was our Safety Stand Down session, where all employees came together both online and face-to-face to listen to Lisa Ramos and her husband Dave talk about Lisa’s workplace accident that changed the course of her life and the impact it had on her, and her family.

The 2025 Health, Safety and Wellbeing week delivered a lineup of interactive and engaging activities designed to educate, motivate and unite teams across the business; and post event we are delighted to report that the feedback was immensely positive.
